Main Contractor - Interventional Radiology (IR)

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is procuring a main contractor via a two-stage design and build process to deliver an Interventional Radiology expansion at Guy's Hospital, including replacement of imaging equipment, installation of a new theatre-level ventilation system, creation of a recovery area and fluoroscopy procedure room, and associated works on Level 3 of the Guy's Tower Wing. The contractor will initially enter a Pre-Construction Services Agreement to progress design and develop construction methodology, phasing strategy, and cost plan, with design team novation, then proceed to the main works contract for construction delivery. The scheme requires complex mechanical and electrical coordination within a live hospital environment, compliance with Building Safety Act requirements, and demonstrated experience in healthcare delivery projects.
