Overview
Northumbria University has procured an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) from SADERET LIMITED to support the Drivers of Oceanic Change in the Amundsen Sea (DeCAdeS) project. The specialized oceanographic equipment will provide continuous, high-resolution mapping of vertical current velocity profiles and hydrodynamic parameters beneath and around ice shelves to analyze ocean-ice interactions and ice shelf evolution.
