Public Health Wales NHS Trust has awarded a serology managed service contract valued at £1,254,215.63 to Abbott Laboratories Ltd, effective 26 May 2026, to continue provision of critical laboratory serology testing services across two operational sites. The contract maintains continuity of existing equipment, infrastructure, and third-party supplier arrangements for infectious disease testing including HIV, hepatitis, and vaccine-preventable diseases, with a term of nine months plus three months extension to mitigate operational and patient care risks during the transition period.
