Overview
The contract is to commission RENS to deliver interventions within North Somerset to
improve insights, increase capacity to advocate for under-served communities and to
offer support to partner organisations to understand barriers and improve access to
existing provisions or highlight gaps. This with an aim to reduce the inequalities that exist and enable more relevant provision where indicated.
The projects will be collaborative in nature and benefit from RENS' welcoming culture and established community networks within North Somerset through trusted voices.
Using learning from a model similar to Gateshead- with our roles working similarly to community bridge builders.
CHDW will be recruited on basis of skills and trust within communities of interest.
RENS will use Health Creation approach which utilises a relational model based in a
deep community connection. This approach will aim to build agency and community
strength.
RENS intend to use tools including ripple mapping to measure impact of this project.
