Overview

Devon County Council is establishing an open light touch framework for the provision of short breaks for disabled children and young people in Devon, estimated at £44 million. The framework will be divided into three lots covering targeted support for children aged birth to 13 years, older adolescents aged 14 to 17 years, and specialist provision for children birth to 17 years, with short breaks delivered in home, community, or residential settings as play, leisure, and respite activities. The framework will operate with two entry points in the first year and one entry point every other year thereafter, enabling the council to call off and award individual packages and block contracts to approved suppliers.
