Published
Published 13 February 2025

Overview

An Urgent Award using Regulation 14 has been made for the provision of mpox post exposure vaccine to be delivered to NHS GM ICB. The reason for the urgency was not foreseeable by and not attributable to the relevant authority due to MPOX being declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. A provider was therefore needed urgently due to the specific requirements of the Service and Patient safety as Cases of clade 1b mpox have already been seen in the UK. NHS GM need to be prepared to provide post-exposure vaccination to contacts within 4 days of exposure to the case and a supply is required ASAP. This contract will be for 12-months from 13th February 2025 to 12th February 2026.
