Overview

The MoD customer has requested the installation and clearance of several additional capabilities onto the RAF Chinook HC Mk5 (Lot 4) platform to ensure equivalence with the Mk6 (Lot 5), thus enabling greater fleet flexibility and resilience for the UK Chinook fleet. This will be achieved by: Embodiment of Troop Insertion and Extraction System Equipment (TIESE) Embodiment of the Interim Hoist Operator Panel (IHOP) to address a human-machine interface (MHI) weakness exposed in the utility of the Winch Operator Grip (WOG) The above capabilities will be delivered by 3x modifications: MOD 0605 Interim Hoist Operator Panel (IHOP) MOD 0607 Ramp Edge Protector MOD 0608 ERH Fender
