The project involves the clearance and demolition of construction sites within the southern harbour area as part of the new KV terminal development in Riesa. The scope includes the demolition of three buildings—a locomotive shed/workshop (4,100 m³), shed C (5,500 m³), and a transformer station (230 m³)—as well as partial demolition of Hall A and Cold Storage Hall 1, covering approximately 800 m². Additional works comprise partial removal and recycling of reinforced and non-reinforced concrete surfaces, including a 22 cm thick concrete slab (937.2 m²) and a 25 cm thick slab at a designated recycling site. The contract also covers the dismantling of concrete walls, boundary walls, roads, and pavements, including around 1,500 m² of 4 cm thick asphalt concrete. Approximately 890 metres of railway tracks within the terminal are to be removed, alongside other demolition tasks such as removal of crane rails, paving, concrete sleepers, shafts, and boulders. Site clearance activities include tree felling, shrub and root removal, and the disposal of debris heaps. Additionally, civil engineering services are required to support archaeological investigations. All works are to be carried out in accordance with the detailed specifications provided in the tender documents.
