Accredited learning programmes across the policy profession

The Department for Education, on behalf of the Civil Service Policy Profession, seeks to partner with higher education institutions to develop and deliver accredited postgraduate-level learning programmes starting from September 2027. These programmes should enhance the skills and capabilities of UK civil servants in line with the Policy Profession Standards, supporting policy makers at various career stages across all government departments. The contract will be held by the Department for Education, but the programmes must be accessible to civil servants throughout the UK. Funding will depend on actual student enrollment from individual departments, with no fixed commitment to the total contract value at this stage.
