WCC - DPS for the provision of Waste Material Services

The Council seeks to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for managing a diverse range of waste materials generated across Warwickshire due to increased waste segregation. The services required include the safe and compliant handling, collection, and processing of various waste types brought to Household Waste Recycling Centres and Waste Transfer Stations by the public, commercial traders, waste collection authorities, suppliers, and charities. The waste streams are categorized into three lots: hazardous waste and materials potentially containing persistent organic pollutants, such as automotive batteries, oils, chemicals, paint, gas cylinders, fire extinguishers, printer cartridges, plasterboard, and upholstered domestic seating; reusable and recyclable waste including soft plastics, glass, non-ferrous metals, and textiles; and bulky waste items like mattresses, carpets, and hard or rigid plastics intended for landfill diversion. The estimated contract value is approximately £3 million over the DPS duration, with potential to rise to £5 million depending on demand.
